With a lot of internal painting jobs so far this year I thought I would share some things that make life easier for you & result in a better finish for you. ·Remove furniture from space where possible
·Move furniture into the center of the room allowing Approx. 1m space from the wall
·Remove rubbish from the area
·Where possible, free surfaces from dust & debris (e.g., skirting boards)
When cupboards are to be painted, please empty. Removing furniture and personal items from your workspace not only allows us to work more efficiently, but also helps protect your belongings throughout the process.
If it’s not possible to completely clear the room, we recommend moving larger items to a central area. This still gives us the access we need while allowing us to properly cover and safeguard your possessions. Generally, the fewer items in the space, the faster and more efficiently your project can be completed.
Preparation also includes a basic clean before we arrive. While we understand that cleaning isn’t anyone’s favourite task, it is essential for achieving a high-quality finish. Painting over dust or debris can affect paint adhesion and result in an uneven surface. To avoid this, we kindly ask that door frames, window frames, and skirting boards are wiped down, along with general vacuuming—particularly around skirting areas.
In return, we ensure a thorough daily site clean as part of our pack-up routine. This includes vacuuming any dust created during sanding, keeping tools and equipment organised, and maintaining a tidy, safe environment so your home remains as close to normal as possible throughout the project.
